Telefónica’s Latin American subsidiary Media Networks has announced it’s won the contract to provide services to design, implement and commission audiovisual solutions for the Vivo telco operator’s new headquarters in Brazil.

The contract between the companies establishes that Media Networks will provide and install all audiovisual solutions for Vivo’s new 34-story headquarters in Sâo Paulo. This includes furnishing the auditorium, meeting rooms and boardroom with solutions and telepresence video conferencing that will allow the building to be connected to the various branches of the Telefónica Group worldwide. Work is already underway and is expected to be completed by 31 December.

In July Media Networks announced the creation of an Audiovisual Services Directorate, which follows the recent integration of the broadcast company Telefónica Audiovisual Services (TSA), a unit of Madrid-based Telefónica Digital.

The media B2B Networks unit of Telefónica Digital also provides wholesale services to pay-TV and satellite Internet companies and operators in Spain, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Central America and Peru, through regional teleports.
